  • 1.  Sunlenca and alternative injection sites?

    Does anyone have experience giving LEN (either Sunlenca or now Yeztugo) in body sites other than the abdomen? I know that Gilead has this publication available, which summarizes the (very little) literature published, but I'd love to see if anyone has felt comfortable and had success with other sites, particularly in people with little/no abdominal fat for a subQ injection. Thanks!

    We did a Yeztugo in the thigh (for one person!) and they preferred over abdomen.

    We did one patient in the thigh and it went well. We have providers who have been involved in the open label study where they are allowing upper arm and buttock and said its been going well and that many pts prefer these sites. Since it is still off label it arm and buttock we are trying to encourage abdomen and thigh in clinic but for patients with really minimal SubQ tissue at those sites the provider is having a discussion with them about off label use at those sites and documenting if they want to proceed with that. So far I don't think we have actually done any in arm or buttock in clinic yet. We did meet with a MSL at Gilead who provide us with PK data for the alternate sites and she said they will likely get approval for these locations within a year.
