Hello all,
Gilead is planning to change their Advancing Access (PAP) program to require new or renewing PAP patients to get refills from their mail order pharmacy to be sent directly to patients. This will be catastrophic for many of our patients who are experiencing homelessness and/or are unstably housed. We already have to do this with Viiv and it is very burdensome for our pharmacists who have to call the pharma company for every refill, we often have patients who move and these meds will be sent to the wrong place, etc. They really depend on coming to our pharmacy to pick up their meds.
Has anyone else been planning with their clinic about this and does anyone create a coordinated response to pressure Gilead to allow clinics to distribute from their own pharmacy?
