  • 1.  Patient moving to California

I have a patient moving to California City, California that will be needing an HIV provider, and primary care provider. I checked out the directory, but since I am not familiar with the area, am not sure who is really nearby to his new location. Can any one guide to me to a provider close to California City? Thank you!!

Hi Cara! I am not at ALL from Cali (Im just north of you!) but I help find locations all of the time and navigate the provider directory well. So california City looks like a 40 min drive to Lancaster CA and there are few locations in Lancaster that list specifically HIV care on their sites. Looking at the directory, there are a few offices there.

AHF Healthcare Center - Antelope Valley has an office in Lancaster, looks like they are open Tuesdays and Thursdays. AHF Healthcare Center Lancaster: Visit your AHF Healthcare Center store (hivcare.org)

There is also a community health center, named Bartz-Altadonna CHC in Lancaster that is Ryan White funded and offer care and looks like they also have medical case management and help with insurance and getting patients on ADAP.

Also, Los Angeles County Health Services has an office in Lancaster that has a practice embedded in called Positive Care for those living with HIV.
    Positive Care/HIV - Health Care Centers (lacounty.gov)

    Hopefully these help!
