    I have an HIV+ patient possibly moving to the Great Bend, Kansas area who will be in need of a new provider.  He says Saline and Lyons are also close by to where he will be staying. Can anyone give me insight into providers, possibly that have Ryan White availability, in these areas? Thanks in advance!

    I'm in Kansas City at The University of Kansas Health System and we have a large HIV program including Ryan White but we are 3-4 hours away from Great Bend.  There unfortunately are not a lot of providers throughout Kansas.  There is a Kansas University satellite office in Wichita, Kansas that does HIV care and has Ryan White case managers but that is also around 2 hours from Great Bend. I don't think there is anyone closer.   We routinely have patients in that area drive to see us in Kansas City and we do some telehealth as well.

    Hello Cara, 

    Our ID team is based in Topeka, KS. We have outreach clinics once a month in Manhattan and Junction City for HIV care through Stormont Vail Healthcare. Dr Donna Sweet practices in Wichita with KU Med. She has a long list of leadership roles in HIV care in the area. Definitely a great resource for your patient. I hope this is helpful.
