Dr. Michael Potnek was born in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and is a graduate of Marquette University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He obtained his nursing doctorate at Marquette University in Milwaukee. While attending Marquette, he completed training in a variety of settings including within the Department of Corrections, an urban American Indian health center, and a large urban hospital. In addition to his medical practice, he is also a faculty member in the Marquette University Graduate School.
As a provider, his passion and goal is to optimize the health and wellness of his patients. He views the patient-provider relationship as a true collaborative partnership in which healthcare decisions are made together, always in the best interest of each patient. He places an emphasis on providing culturally competent care in a comfortable environment, where patients can discuss their medical problems, and strive to empower his patients through health education.
