In 2019 I became an AAHIVM specialist and am also board certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine. My residency and fellowship at UCSD provided me valuable experience in caring for persons living with HIV in both the in-patient and ambulatory settings. During residency I also did 2 research rotations in Maputo, Mozambique. For the last 3 years I have practiced HIV primary care in the Owen Clinic at UCSD, which has a diverse patient population. I am certified to speak Spanish as a health care provider and have also studied Portuguese. Beyond HIV, I also have a research interest in Chagas disease.
