Professional Bio

Milena Murray is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and an HIV/ID Clinical Pharmacist at the Northwestern ID Center. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and her Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation at Northwestern University. Her post-graduate training consisted of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and an Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital through Midwestern University. Dr Murray is a Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist and an AAHIVM HIV Pharmacist. Her primary roles at the Northwestern ID Center include medication access, medication counseling, precepting trainees, and working with the interdisciplinary team to optimize care for patients.

Practice Setting

The Northwestern Infectious Diseases Center has over one thousand active patients that are treated for a spectrum of infectious diseases with the predominant patient population being treated for HIV. In addition, the majority of patients living with HIV also receive their primary care for other chronic diseases at this site. The clinic is a multi-disciplinary setting composed of infectious diseases fellows, attending physicians, nurses, social workers, and pharmacists. There is a collaborative approach for the management of various disease states including infectious diseases, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and others.
