Good morning,
I serve as the sexual health and HIV specialist at an FQHC in Washington, DC, while also pursuing my DNP degree. My current DNP proposal centers on reducing HIV transmission among Black ciswomen in DC, with a focus on enhancing understanding of self-perceived risk to promote PrEP uptake.
While various HIV risk assessment tools exist, many are tailored toward the MSM population. I've previously utilized the Denver HIV Risk Score tool, but I primarily rely on "qualitative data" obtained through discussions on sexual health during appointments to identify at-risk patients.
I'm curious to learn about your preferred risk assessment tool for heterosexual cisgender patients (and why!)
Thank you for your time.
