We are having a hard time locating 2-inch needles for administering Cabenuva to patients with BMI > 30.

If someone is using 2-inch needs, where are you getting them from?

    Thank you!

    Hi Marie,

I reached out to our specialty pharmacist with your question re 2in needles, as we have several patients currently receiving Cabenuva injections w/ BMI >30. See her response below:

"We currently order from BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company). I am not aware of any issues receiving these needles at this time."

Please let me know if this is helpful and/or if there is any more information that we can provide!

    Best,
    Gina

We also are having difficulty getting 2" needles. The ones we found were only available in surprisingly expensive cases of 800, which my manager was unwilling to order. Ugh. We asked the dispensing pharmacy if they could provide the needles and they also were unable to find a source.  We use McKesson for supplies and getting supplies anywhere else practically takes an act of congress. Our ViiV rep is working on it on her end also.

We had some issues locating the 2-inch needles initially but then we talked to our McKesson rep and have been able to stock them in 100 needle quantities per order.
